How do you set your watch?

First and foremost, it is essential to understand that setting a watch, as simple as it may seem, remains a delicate watchmaking operation.
Each step must be carried out carefully and meticulously in order to understand how the watch works and, above all, to avoid causing any damage.
In this section, we will guide you through the general steps for setting a watch, whether it is quartz or automatic. It should be noted that some details may vary from one model to another, such as the type of crown used, whether it is a screw-down or simple crown.
How to set a quartz watch
Adjusting quartz watches is certainly the easiest task to perform.
To assist you, we have provided a video that will guide you through all the steps of the process.

HOW TO SET AN AUTOMATIC WATCH
Setting the time on an automatic watch can be a little more tricky than on a quartz watch, as it requires an additional step: winding the watch.
This operation consists of turning the winding crown to supply energy to the mechanism. Then, your watch's automatic system will take over to ensure winding.

Adjusting the moon phase mechanism
Setting a moon phase mechanism requires a little time and concentration. Here are the steps to follow:
- Step 1: Pull the crown out to the second notch. Then turn the hands clockwise to scroll through the days to the current date.
- Step 2: Once you have reached the correct day, set the hour and minutes on your watch.
- Step 3: Push the crown back to the first notch. Then turn it counterclockwise to set the date.
- Step 4: Once the date is set, all you have to do is adjust the moon phase.
To do this, we recommend consulting a lunar calendar website to find out the exact position of the moon on the desired day.
Tip for precise adjustment:
First set the moon phase to full moon.
Consult a lunar calendar to find out how many days have passed since the last full moon.
3. Then turn the moon phase indicator by as many notches as the number of days that have passed since that full moon.
