AtMaisonDuTemps, we started out offering men's watches, model after model, then accelerated our development to present new collections at a steady pace. Until one day, we received requests from female customers asking us to create collections for women. Indeed, the vast majority of our collections featured fairly large diameters, such as 40, 41, and even up to 42 mm.
That's why we first sought to create a very simple women's collection, with rounded shapes and a classic Milanese mesh bracelet that could be adjusted manually, all with proportions that are very common for women's watches, notably a diameter of 34 mm. The details of the watches were in their dials, which were pink lacquered or mother-of-pearl. This collection was the MTMu collection. However, it failed to appeal to our community... Why? Because it did not reflect the identity of HouseDuTempsThe watch did not stand out; it failed to inspire customers because it was too ordinary.
Following this observation, we sought to understand how to appeal to the female community with our style of watches. And ultimately, the answer was relatively simple: we just needed to take one of our iconic men's watch models, namely the MTGamma collection, and adapt it for a female clientele by creating the MTGamma Femme.
We therefore began by changing its appearance, creating a watch in steel and rose gold, as well as a second model in steel and yellow gold. We kept the 34 mm diameter from the previous collection and opted for easy-to-read white dials. The result was a success, appealing to a large number of our customers.

Why do we think this watch is so successful? Quite simply because it meets all the expectations of the women's watch market. It's quite simple really: just visit any watch store and look at the women's watches on display. You'll find that the vast majority are gold (rose or yellow), smaller in size and, in many cases, adorned with diamonds.
After several months of sales and collecting numerous customer reviews, the results are in: customers are satisfied!
The charm of this watch is evident in its gold and steel style, its clean lines, and its minimalist design, all in a small diameter. For us, this combination creates a perfect whole.
A precise mechanism
Miyota Quartz Movement
Who said that a women's watch couldn't be accurate? At HouseDuTemps, the mechanism remains our priority. The collection MTGamma Women is equipped with a Miyota Quartz movement. As with all new collections from HouseDuTempsThe mechanisms are Japanese, manufactured by Miyota.
We chose not to equip the MTGamma Women's collection with an automatic movement for two reasons. The first reason that really convinced us to equip the watch with a quartz movement was a question of proportions. When you have a watch with a diameter of 34 mm for a woman's wrist, the watch must be small, thin, and light. If we had opted for an automatic mechanism, the thickness of the watch would have been at least twice as much, as would its weight. So, the first reason was a question of watch design and respect for proportions.
The second reason, which did not carry much weight for us but is very important to our customers, is price. We know that among watch enthusiasts, there are women who are just as passionate about watches as men and who have high standards when it comes to watch mechanisms, materials, etc. However, for the vast majority of our female customers, watches are seen as stylish accessories to complement their outfits, and they want a functional watch, regardless of the technology behind the mechanism.
