Watches known as open heart have only recently come into being. It is a complication, or rather an aesthetic feature of the watch, that has really taken its place on the watch market since the 2000s. Although it has been around for decades, the trend began to charm the general public through iconic brands. Initially, French brands such as "Lip" and Pierre Lanier brought this design back into fashion, but we can also see these watches appearing on the other side of the world with the Japanese brand Orient.
 
Since the launch of HouseDuTemps, We had two obsessions: to launch a skeleton watch, but also an open-heart watch, with our own sense of design. In fact, most of the open-heart watches available on the market are generally dress watches, with leather straps, small diameters, or even very classic designs. At HouseDuTemps, we wanted to release a watch with a fashionable complication and a modern design. That's why, when we launched our first open-heart watch for men, the MTDelta Open Heart Green DialWe were keen to infuse it with our style: bold lines, an octagonal bezel, and a green dial that changes color depending on the lighting. Clearly, we made the right decision about this model's place in our range, as it has been a huge success since its release.
 
To offer our customers the opportunity to purchase it, we have produced it in a classic color: black, which has given life to the MTDelta Open Heart Black Dial.

Remember, an open-heart watch is designed to reveal the heart of the watch, in this case, the balance wheel which is the main part of the watch mechanism's escapement. The balance wheel is the part of the mechanism that allows the watch to be adjusted for fast or slow movement. It also sets a highly precise adjustment angle called the dead center, but all of this is very technical and without training in watchmaking and/or practice, it is difficult to understand how it works.
So, speaking for all watch enthusiasts, the fact that the mechanism's balance wheel is turning means that the watch is working, and the more the balance wheel oscillates, the better it is for the accuracy of your watch.
 
Any mechanism with an attractive finish could be used in an open-heart watch. At HouseDuTemps, we have chosen to equip our MTDelta Open Heart of a mechanism MiyotaWe chose the mechanism Miyota 82S5 for several reasons.
 
Initially, although we wanted a watch that suited our design, we wanted to adhere to one of the codes of open-heart watches, which is to keep the diameter small. Our MTDelta Open Heart has a diameter of 40mmA small diameter means that the mechanism must be proportionate to the size of the case.
 
Next, after selecting mechanisms with small diameters, we looked for mechanisms that offered attractive finishes. The mechanism Miyota 82S5 We particularly liked it because it has very elegant finishes on the bridges on the back of the watch (on the automatic movement) and on the part under the dial.
 
Finally, after completing our selection of size and finish criteria, we checked the tolerances and technical specifications of the mechanism. Once this was done, we decided to equip all our watches in the Collection with this mechanism. MTDelta open heart of these mechanisms Miyota.
 
The advantage of this watch is that we have designed it to have a slim and elegant look that appeals mainly to men, however, this watch is just as suitable for women's wrists. To date, we can confirm that this watch is a men's watch but also a watch that is suitable for women.

 For many enthusiasts, the question of purchasing a watch with a complication arises and becomes almost a prerequisite. In our opinion, you should choose the watch that appeals to you in every way.

It is important to note that a watch with a complication is potentially more likely to break down or need repairs, making it more fragile.
 
Furthermore, when designing a watch with a complication, we often have to revise our design and compromise on certain visual elements of the watch. This means that finding a watch that has the design you want as well as all the technical complications you dream of can sometimes be incompatible.

However, it is good to know that the MTDelta Open Heart does not have a complication but rather a dial design that is purely visual. This means that the watch will not have any particular fragility. This watch can therefore meet all your needs: it is beautiful and fashionable, with a pleasing visual detail that may raise questions about its usefulness, while being as robust as a classic watch.
